Forgotten Forties Ford   2 comments

I found this 1942-47 Ford truck abandoned on a back road near Hampshire, Tennessee. I think my favorite part of it is the brush guard failing to protect the front of the truck by letting a tree grow between it and the missing grille.

A 16×20 faux canvas version of this is one of the photos I am donating to a silent auction at a fundraiser for a cancer patient in Nashville. For more info on the show visit www.friendsofkristijo.org.

Where the road to nowhere leads   Leave a comment

If you know which turns to make in a run of the mill middle class neighborhood in middle Tennessee, you will find yourself on a road that goes nowhere. The two car garages, children riding bikes and neighbors gossiping all disappear, and as you drive through a solid rock section of the hill that has been cut out much like an interstate would be, you’ll find your path blocked by a rusty gate and decrepit barn at the end of the road to nowhere.

Available now as an 8×10 matte print on my etsy store.
